“Until the Vaccine Arrives” Online Summer Workshop

This timely workshop explores navigating the “New Normal” for those who lead worship with Dr. David Arcus and Dr. Don Horisberger, featured Clinicians as The 2020 Paul Lindsley Thomas and Hal Hopson Lecturers. The workshop will also include a showing of the film, Sacred Sound with Rev. Robin Arcus.
DEADLINE TO REGISTER: August 7th at Noon Central
During this live Zoom workshop, attendees will work with master musicians who have excelled in performance themselves (David Arcus as Duke University’s Chapel Organist and Don Horisberger as Associate Conductor of the Chicago Symphony Chorus) and worked with lay musicians in churches to provide congregations with meaningful musical vehicles for worship.
Sessions include "Choral Music for These Times" with Dr. Horisberger, "Composing Organ Music Using Public Domain Hymn Tunes" with Dr. Arcus, and "Building a Lessons & Carols for Advent for Live Streaming" with Dr. Horisberger, as well as a panel of worship leaders discussing "Navigating the New Normal" with attendee discussion and input. Additionally, Timothy Binkley will cover the issues surrounding using copyrighted material when creating online worship.
